Dr. Haitham successfully completed his Ophthalmology residency at Marburg University, mentored by Professor Walter Sekundo, the pioneer of SMILE refractive surgery. He pursued specialized fellowships in oculoplastic and orbital surgery at Aravind Eye Hospital (India), Barmherzigen Brueder Trier (Germany), and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).
Since 2013, he has been a member of the German Ophthalmic Society and holds membership in the esteemed European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, representing the sole GCC member in this exclusive European society.
