The American Mission Hospital (AMH) holds the distinction of being the first and oldest medical facility in Bahrain and possibly across the Arabian Gulf. It has also established itself as a pioneer in embracing and incorporating the latest advancements in medical technology.
Originally known as the Mason Memorial Hospital, AMH opened its doors to the Bahraini community in 1903 and quickly became the preferred choice for healthcare services until government-run facilities emerged in the 1940s.
AMH has remained at the forefront of the medical field, from procuring the region’s first X-ray machine in the 1940s to recently inaugurating an environmentally-friendly state-of-the-art hospital in January 2023. By combining human expertise with cutting-edge scientific technology, AMH continues to prioritize the well-being of patients.
